In 2019, D CEO honored commercial real estate professionals across eight specialties for the first time in the program's history. Terrence Maiden was recognized in Community Impact for a career directed at the southern sector of Dallas.
“My philosophy is people-first. Being in an industry like real estate, which is often driven by profit and wealth, I always remind myself who we are doing this work for, the community. I am motivated by knowing that my efforts each day can impact people for generations to come.”
The record behind the recognition
More than two decades of real estate experience: project leasing and development with The Woodmont Company across Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, and North Dakota; national expansion strategy for Panda Express and Panera; and, as Executive Vice President at Corinth Properties, the signature developments at Glen Oaks Crossing, Hatcher Station, Center City, The Canyon in Oak Cliff, and Alexan West Dallas.
He holds a Bachelor of Science and Engineering degree from Texas Christian University, where he and his identical twin brother Tim were standout football players; both were inducted into the TCU Hall of Fame in 2015. He chairs the Maiden Foundation and serves on the ICSC Board of Trustees.
Why it shows up in the work
A people-first posture is not a communications strategy, it is a site-selection filter. It routes the firm toward properties whose highest and best use is measured in what a neighborhood gains, and it explains why the pipeline is concentrated in places that required a partner willing to stay through entitlement, community process, and the years before the returns show up.
